Party Planning: Easy Decor for your Mother’s Day Brunch

    May 11, 2017

Some of us shower our moms with gifts; others want to take our moms out. But this year, I decided what better way to celebrate my mom than to make an at-home brunch filled with wonderful food, mimosas—and of course, beautiful decor. Whether you need a last minute idea (c’mon we all get busy) or you were planning on spending time with your mother at home this year, this is a guide to get your mom feelin’ the love.

    Get Your Drink On

What is brunch without a drink or two? To get your party started, consider making fun drinks for everyone to enjoy while chowing down on some food. If your mom is more of a classic lady, stick to the classics like a Bloody Mary or mimosa. Or, if she likes to spice things up with something new, try a strawberry mojito. It’s a fun take on a classic mojito and goes perfectly with any breakfast food. Mom doesn’t drink? No problem, try making a fun mocktail to accompany your brunch. You don’t need to booze it up to make it special.

    Add a Multi-Tasking Centerpiece

What would Mother’s Day be without flowers? A nice homemade centerpiece will give the table and is an easy way to decorate for the occasion. Go for a rustic bouquet with a ribbon or an arrangement that sits in a nice container or basket. Afterwards, give it to your mom as part of her gift. It’s a surefire way to melt your momma’s heart.

    Add in Personal Touches

Adding personalized details to your party will make it so much more inviting and homey. If you are inviting other ladies to you brunch party, add cute place cards to make seating easier and organized. If it’s just you and your mom, place a handwritten poem or card as her table setting. Bring out the cloth napkins and get out those cute, vintage glasses you’ve been meaning to use. All of these details will make the brunch that much more special.

I hope these decor ideas will be of some help when you are planning your Mother’s Day festivities. As always, I’d love to hear what you are planning to do with your moms, so comment below.

    Until next time,
