    Beauty Roundup: Favorite Natural Masks

    May 18, 2017

Recently, I have been getting into the habit of taking some time each week to pamper myself. It’s a time for me to relax and let go of any stress that may be built up. In my skincare obsessed world, nothing screams relaxation like popping on a mask and sitting down to watch some TV. (Lately, I have been obsessed with The Handmaiden’s Tale.)

Since my skin is sensitive, I only use organic or naturally based products, so that there are no chemicals or harsh ingredients touching my face. Masks are a great way to cleanse, clarify and hydrate the skin depending on what you may need at the time. I like to switch my masks out based on what my skin is doing at that moment. If it’s dry- I hydrate. If it’s spotty- I clarify.

This post is a compilation of my current favorites masks that I think would be a great addition to anyone’s bathroom shelf. Since they are mostly made of high quality ingredients, some are on the higher price point, but I wouldn’t suggest them if I truly felt they weren’t worth the price. This list doesn’t include sheet masks, but if that is something you’d like me to write about next, I’d be happy to. I love me a good sheet mask!

    Caudalie Purifying Mask

Always trust French women in knowing the best skin care. Caudalie is a French brand that uses many natural ingredients in their products. I have had this mask for over a year and still enjoy using it. It’s one of my go-to’s when I want a really deep clean from a mask. Made with two types of clay, this mask is great for oily skin that is feeling spotty. The gentle chamomile smell is lovely and I like that this mask doesn’t dry you out to much. Great one for those end of the month hormonal spots!

    Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask

This is one of my newest additions to my mask collection. Based out of New Zealand, this company goes the extra mile with using the highest ingredients possible. This mask really does it all. The Manuka honey hydrates and has over 20 antibacterial properties to ย eliminate blemishes. Your skin will feel so smooth and fresh after use. The packaging is completely recyclable and beautiful too!

    Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Repairing Mask

I got these two little masks in a sample kit, but I actually really ended up liking them and will repurchase when I run out. The Yogurt mask is so refreshing and is great in reducing redness. It also smells like the Milka yogurt and strawberry chocolate, which always leave me craving some. Might be a bad thing…

    Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

The other mask in this kit was the overnight hydrating mask. It smells so fresh and clean and you wake up with baby soft skin. I like to put this mask on a half hour before bed, so some of the stickiness has time to soak in. That way my pillow doesn’t get gunk all over it.

    Lush Mask of Magnaminty

My last favorite is one that was recommended to me a long time ago and I still love it to this day. This mask is another one that is very multipurpose. The vanilla soothes redness, the mint and clay clean your pores and soothe blemishes and the adzuki beans exfoliate your skin. I like to throw this one on when I am wanting something quick and easy as it tackles so many issues in one mask. The wonderful smell doesn’t hurt either.

I hope this post inspires you to take some time to yourselves and maybe even put on a mask or two. ย Comment down below to let me know what your holy grail masks are, I’d love to add to my collection.

    Until next time,

    N.
