May Favorites: Things I Can’t Get Enough Of

    June 11, 2018

Hello! June is here and my husband and I (still feels so weird saying that) are slowly settling into married life and coming down from our wedding high. Since May was our wedding month, most of my time was spent revolving around purchasing last minute DIY decoration items or makeup items for my day of wedding makeup, but there are a few random favorites that I was rockin’ in the month of May.

Lumene VALO Glow Refresh Hydrating Mist

I used to the Glossier Rose Toner and I loved how it made my skin feel, but people, I have switched and I cannot get enough of Lumene’s Hydrating Mist. The main reason I have switched is because of the spray nozzle. It is such a light mist that sprays in a wider angle so you can cover your face with a blanket of this stuff without getting that “wet” feeling. I also love the formula. The Vitamin C gives me the cloud that I need and the Wild Arctic Cloudberry Extract helps refresh the skin.

    Solei Swimsuit

With the warm summer weather and the fact that we now live closer to water, I have recently gone through my swimsuit collection and retired any suits that are no longer in great shape or just aren’t really my cup of tea anymore. When I saw this suit from & Other Stories, I knew I wanted to snag it for my future honeymoon. Yellow has been all over stores and I am so excited! I have been trying to incorporate color more often into my wardrobe and yellow has been one I am really into. This suit has the perfect cut and is super stretchy and comfortable. I also love that the top has an athletic cut- it’s so flattering! If you are looking for a bathing suit that has great quality but isn’t super expensive, give & Other Stories a go!

    Podcast: Terrible, Thanks for Asking

This favorite is in a new category for me as I have been listening to podcasts for quite some time now, but have never shared any with all of you. This is one I listen to on many a morning commutes. It’s a podcast that covers people’s stories of life’s events that aren’t always the most cheery but are part of what real life is, hence the name. Life isn’t a rose-colored world and I appreciate the fact that this podcast hands over stories in a very raw manner. I also like that the podcast is in an almost interview type format, with insight from the host. It makes the stories well very genuine.

    Nylon Camp Hat

I have been all about hats lately, specifically this nylon white cap. It’s perfect for days when I don’t feel like doing my hair and it’s great for the obvious- protecting your face from the sun and keeping your head cool. The material of this cap is super lightweight, breathable and easy to wash, which is a plus as it’s white. I love the back strap because it is in a bright red and gives it a little more of a unique style.

    Hair cuff

I am super lazy with my hair and now that it’s long, I tend to wear it up quite often, either in a low bun or ponytail. This gets pretty boring, so when I saw this cuff it was an opportunity to create a polished, sleek hairstyle and something a little different from the day to day.
