As winter is soon coming to a close, I am ready for warm weather, blooming flowers and longer nights. When the weather changes, like most people there is something in me that wants to refresh things and start over new. Let go of my winter blues and embrace the spring vibes. Other than changing my wardrobe out and cleaning my home out a little (I love to organize!), I like to bring spring inside my home too and there are a few easy and effortless ways I do this.
Nothing makes me happier than trimming a wick and lighting a brand new candle. I don’t know what it is but I feel instantly relaxed when I light candles and since I am a fragrance person I enjoy trying out and lighting new scents frequently. Something I do to get my home in the spring mood is to switch over from heavier, muskier scents into cleaner, brighter springtime scents. Some of my favorites have been: Mejuri AM// Capri Blue Volcano // Tuileries Escapist
Bringing in color
Spring colors such as yellows, pinks, and blues are really easy to incorporate into pretty much any level of commitment you want. Go for more scattered, muted pops of color for an understated look or go for the eclectic vibe and color your home like a damn Easter egg. It’s really up to you!
I love bringing fresh flowers into my home any time of year, but the spring season essentially begs for it. I like to purchase local flowers (or even collect my own in the spring.) A fun way to dress up your bouquets for the season is to play with the vases or vessels your arrangements go in.
This one is simple- changing your linens is a small thing that makes all the difference in the world. Bath towels, kitchen towels, bed linens. Change them all! I like to go for neutrals or pale blues for a serene feeling, but it’s totally up to you. If you are into more of the trendy palette, try lilac or pink!
Bring in new accessories
An easy way to add spring into your home is to bring in accessories that feel more playful. Try making a wreath for the door out of greenery and wildflowers or bring in accessories that incorporate natural elements like rattan, bamboo, or warm wood tones. Switching out your accent accessories is an easy way to stay on a budget while making your home feel updated.
