Holiday Looks: Memorial Day
May signifies a change in season, a change in style and that oh so lovely Memorial Day holiday where we can take a day off work and enjoy time with friends and family. If you are planner like me, you already have your holiday laid out and are getting ready for that loooong weekend. Whether you are keeping it classic and attending or hosting a BBQ, or are traveling out of town, I’ve compiled some outfit inspiration to make your lives just a little bit easier.
If you are planning a fun trip out of your hometown, packing lighter clothes is a great option. This whole look made me feel so resort ready! The classic breton striped t-shirt is so versatile and I love the pop of red from the pants. The slip-ons are so comfy and are very Gucci-esque.
If you live in a city where you have the chance to go explore the great outdoors, don’t miss out! Grabbing some friends and going out hiking can be a really fun way to celebrate Memorial Day. I kept this look light and comfortable, but wanted to still feel put together. These shorts are super comfy and are high waisted, so they look great with tucked-in shirts. I wanted to pair this look with my Dolce Vita platform espadrilles, because I feel like the add a touch of color and fun to the whole look. The hat is more of a practical piece, but I liked the pop of color in the back. It made the hat a bit different from others I’ve seen.
This look was inspired for any occasion where you have the opportunity or desire to dress up a bit. A maxi dress is an easy piece to throw on and I love that it has a wrap feature. The low v-neck is a nice feature that is really flattering and gives you lots of room to play with accessories. Since there was a lot of color in this dress, I decided to ride that out and put another pop of red into this outfit with the sunglasses. I toned the look down with the muted purple block heels and black purse.
All outfit items are linked and if anything is sold out I linked a comparable item. Let me know your thoughts below on what your favorite items were and enjoy your Memorial Day.
Until next time,
