April Picks: Fashion and Beauty
Another month is halfway over…. I can’t believe it. As always I am rounding up my favorites from this past month. With the weather slowly turning warm, this month has had a huge focus on spring clothes and updating my spring skincare routine. Hope this post gives you some warm weather inspiration for the upcoming summer months.
I never thought I’d be a facial brush type of girl. I had always been pretty happy with my Charcoal Konjac sponge and had repurchased it time and time again. Until I discovered this brush set. Vanity Planet has many different brush sets, but I decided to purchase the one that has three brush heads and two speeds. It comes with a cute case for traveling, which I always appreciate. My skin is sensitive, oily in the T-zone, and breakout prone, so I don’t use the second speed of the brush. I feel that it is too harsh on my skin. The first speed is great for me and I like all of the brush heads that come with it. The exfoliating one is awesome for getting rid of any dead skin cells and the rubber one is very gentle and easy to clean. I do feel that this gives you a much deeper clean than anything else I’ve tried and my skin feels so soft after. I use this with my Say Yes to Cucumbers Cleansing Milk and it does the trick.
I have been on the hunt for muted spring shoes. Like everyone else, muted spring tones have been my latest fashion obsession. I am not much for a bright color palette, so muted blush, nude, and purple tones have been my go-to’s. When I saw these shoes, I knew they would be the perfect addition to my collection. The block heel makes for a very comfortable shoe and the leather is so soft! The peep-toe and the chunky straps give it visual interest and make it a bit of a toned down statement shoe. All in all, there aren’t enough words I can say to express how much I love these guys.

For anyone who knows me well, they know I am one for splurging on skincare that is eco-cert or natural. When I first found out about DECIEM, I was shocked at their price ranges. It seemed too good to be true, but this Canadian brand has got it right. The product that has stood out for me from the entire haul I bought has been the rosehip oil. It has the consistency of serum, so don’t let the oil in its name fool you. It isn’t oily AT ALL. I mix this in with my Melvita night cream and wake up with glowy, healthy skin. It helps heal any blemishes you may have as well- bonus!
I’m usually not much of a button-down girl. I like them on others, but for me I am pretty picky with them. However, when I saw this baby in the store I knew I had to have it. The shirt is an edgy spin on a classic shirt and it fits perfectly into my wardrobe. This quality of this little number is lovely and I love the embroidered, gold eye details. This shirt can be transitioned into any season- layer a sweater over it for winter or wear the sleeves rolled up in spring.
