Swoon Worthy: The Coziest & Coolest Bars in Denver

February 15, 2017

I’ve been living in Denver for about 3 years and bars have been popping up left and right. Whether you are visiting or just moved here, this is a collection of favorite cozy spots that have interiors on point.

Green Russell-$

The Green Russell is about as cozy as it gets. This tiny bar has a great atmosphere that is very Great Gatsby-esque. They typically have music on weekend nights, so it’s a great place to cozy up in.

Beatrice and Woodsley– $$

This bar leaves you breathless as soon as you walk in the door. Live Aspens, Colorado’s native tree, are in the center of the restaurant, and their bar is held up by shelves and chainsaws. The bar gives off total “glamping” vibe and I love it. Their happy hour menu is great for noshing and drinking and afterwards you can walk up and down Broadway street. A lovely place for date night!

Black Eye Coffee– $$

Coffee shop by day, hip bar by night, this spot is truly for anyone. Their modern decor is truly beautiful, (check out their bathrooms) and their cocktails are stunning. It’s tucked away underneath apartment buildings, so it feels like a neighborhood spot.

Williams and Graham– $$$

The speakeasy bar that keeps on giving. This place is a true speakeasy that is hidden by a fake library storefront. The bar prides itself on their skilled bartenders, so expect to wait at least 1-2 hours on a weeekend.

Bar Fausto– $

This bar is one of my personal favorites. They have great food and their cocktail list pays homage to all of the classics, which I truly appreciate. Their industrial decor fits perfectly into the artsy neighborhood they call home.

The Terminal– $

This place is right inside Union Station, so it’s an ideal last stop spot before you travel out of Denver. Union Station is one of  Denver’s newest additions and it is a work of art. I love taking the time to walk around and visit all of the vendors they have inside.

Hudson Hill$$

A ode to Manhattan, this bar keeps a nice balance between fresh and eclectic in its decor and its drink menu. The drink menu is original and has many unique combos. You might have to try them all!

Do you have favorite bar stops in Denver? Which ones should I check out? I’d love to hear your picks!

Until next time,

xx.
