Sometimes it’s hard to find home decor that is unique and affordable, two qualities that most people long for. As a person who still rents, I look for things that meet my budget, but also aren’t going to fall apart as soon as it sets foot in the door. With many people being too busy to spend hours at a antique shop, I have found that Etsy has been a wonderful resource for me. You can find endless interior items, in so many styles and many of the shops have a wide variety of accessories too! Not only can you shop in the comfort of your home, but you can also feel great that you are supporting local and small businesses.
Today, I wanted to share with you some of favorite shops that I bookmarked. I hope it inspires you to check out some of these talented craftsmen and revamp that space you’ve been meaning to finish.
Prints : Melinda Wood Designs
As you may have noticed by my blog, I am a fan of minimalist design, and these prints make my heart beat. They are simple, yet elegant and I love the white space she uses. What I really love is that this shop let’s you download any of the prints digitally. You get about 5 file sizes, so you can really customize your space as needed. This genius for someone who is as indecisive as I am!
Bedroom Furniture: moderncre8ve
A bedroom should be cozy, but timeless and that is what Robert William has accomplished with his designs. Moderncre8ve is a family owned company, and it truly shows in their attention to detail. Every item is hand made and they use high quality woods and metals. Their affection for their craft is so apparent in each and every piece. They focus mostly on simplistic, mid century styles that could fit into any home. I’ve got my eye on one of these beds, isn’t it beautiful?
Pottery & Ceramics: Olis Cupboard
What can I say about pottery? I think everyone should have plants in their home and that means pottery galore! Olis creations are near and dear to my heart, not only because she comes from the Czech Republic as I do, but her designs are so unique. Her juxtaposition between dainty and textured is my one of my favorite parts of vases. She creates anything from mugs to hanging planters and her work is one-of-a-kind.
Accessories: Confetti Riot Shop
Ah, accessories, no home would be complete without them, and Kathryn owner of Confetti Riot knows what she’s doing. Her whimsical and colorful designs are all home made and hand printed, so no two are alike. Confetti Riot has many different types of accessories, so there is something for any room. Coasters, pillows, tea towels are just some of the few items stocked in the shop. These accessories are perfect for anyone looking to add some color or quirk to a room.
I hope I inspired you to go check out Etsy.com and search for some of your home decor favorites.
Until next time,
